Resources from the National Leaders' Conference 2014

This part of our website has resources from seminars we presented at the National Leaders' Conference 2014.

We've had many requests for the training documents that we mentioned and showed at the seminars so you will find them in the sections below. Just scroll down to find what you want.

If you have any trouble with these downloads or links please email steve@wsvc.org.uk

The files are from Office 2007 and if you have trouble opening them because you use Office 2003 or earlier then you need to go to www.microsoft.com and search for "Compatibility Pack" and then install it. This allows older office versions to open Office 2007 files.

You're very welcome to download any that you want and do feel free to modify the documents for your own use. We hope you find these useful and if you have any feedback, suggestions, ideas then please get in touch. Anything that might be interesting to others we can always put here and keep everyone up to date.

How To Plan Our Preaching And Build A Preaching Team

Chris & Maggie Parsons

“Help! It’s Saturday and I’ve still not prepared my Sunday talk! What should I be preaching on? Something from the Old or New Testament?

Mmhh….something from the Gospels or one of the letters? But which one? Revelation? No… that’s what I need now! Or maybe something from
that programme I watched on TV last night….”

Small Group Growth and Development

Mark and Louise Williams

Keeping our small groups vibrant, healthy and growing can be a challenge. It's easy to fall back into a maintenance culture!

In this seminar Mark and Louse look at practical tools to help your small groups grow and flourish, casting the vision, healthy pastoral care, training leaders and teams, managing disappointment, successful multiplication of groups and establishing a strong church structure to facilitate growth... all to keep things moving.

Mark & Louise are Executive Pastors at West Suffolk Vineyard and are responsible for small group growth and development.

The Kinship Team Training document is our basic training for anyone who is leading a kinship/small group and also for those potential leaders who maybe helping out on a team but who we want to train up to release in the near future. This training covers our small group structures and procedures as well as some of our leadership training.

The Kinship Refresher booklets are sessions that we run twice a year for all kinship/small group leaders and their teams. They are designed to refresh worship, ministry and an opportunity for some teaching and training. The topics very depending on what everyone we feel at needs are at any particular time.

One Hand In and One Hand Out

Chris & Maggie Parsons

We often wish we were better at reaching out to others with the good news of Jesus, but sometimes we lose other friendships as our sense of Christian community grows. This workshop can be taken into your local church with a mixture of teaching and discussion groups that show reaching IN doesn't mean we can't reach OUT to others!

Chris & Maggie are the Senior Pastors of West Suffolk Vineyard and currently serve as Area Leaders for East Anglia.

Heresies and Heroes

Chris Parsons

What happened after the Acts of the Apostles? Many of our core beliefs came to be hammered out as internal conflicts and external pressures threw up both new heresies and new heroes - the Early Church Fathers. With remarkable similarity to our post Christendom age, their voices can bring fresh clarity to our understanding of Jesus' ministry today.

Chris is married to Maggie. They lead West Suffolk Vineyard and currently serve as Area Leaders for East Anglia.
