Follow the signs to the venue, on foot or to the car park. Our team will greet you, show you where to park then you can head to the front door. Our welcome team will say hello and make you feel at home. We serve free refreshments on arrival so grab something to eat and drink before you take a seat!

Children are very welcome on Sunday - we run groups for children during the morning and you are also welcome to have your children with you through the celebration.

In Bury St Edmuds our groups are for children aged 1-11 years and you can register children into their groups 10 minutes before the celebration starts. If your child needs you during the celebration, a member of the team will contact you.

Children under one are welcome to stay with you during the celebration. If your little one needs a change of scene, you're welcome to use our Stay & Play Room, where you can stay with them while they enjoy the toys provided. During the 11:15am celebration at our Bury St Edmunds site, the celebration is live-streamed into the room, so you won't miss out.

In Sudbury children stay with you through the sung worship and then there is a coffee break and time to register children into their groups.

Youth for those in school years 7–13 runs during our 10:30am celebration at Sudbury and our 11:15am celebration at Bury St Edmunds. After a time of sung worship together, our young people go to their group.

At the start of the celebration we have 25 minutes of sung worship, led by a band. All the words for the songs come up on a screen so that you can join in if you want to.

During the time of worship do whatever you feel most comfortable with. Most people tend to stand and sometimes raise their hands in praise, or sit or kneel in a moment of intimacy with God.

After the time of worship, we will have an offering which is an opportunity for people to financially give to the life of the church. This is explained from the front and if you are a visitor there is no obligation.

Then we run through some news items to update everyone about the main things coming up in the life of the church and how to get more involved. To hear about everything happening in church it is best to sign up to receive the weekly Vineyard News email (click here).

We then have a talk from the Bible, around 25-30 minutes, where the speaker helps us learn from the Bible and apply it to our everyday lives. Our Sunday Celebrations are the main way we look at the Bible together and we do that through our talks which are done in series, either following a theme or following a book in the Bible.

If you have your own Bible (book or electronic) please feel free to bring them, but the talk is accompanied by graphics on the screen which also includes the Bible passages for the morning. If you do not have your own Bible we have some free ones that we’d love to give you.

Every week our celebrations finish with the opportunity to wait on the Holy Spirit and receive prayer. This is explained and guided from the front and there is an opportunity to come to the front of the room and someone will come and pray with you. Equally during this time you can stay in your seats as we finish the morning together.

How long do Sunday morning celebrations last?

Usually between one and a quarter and one and a half hours. But arrive early for free refreshments and stay afterwards for chatting, connections and a refreshment top-up.

What should I wear?

Come exactly as you are—there's no need to dress up or dress down. “Casual” is a good overall description and in summer you will see shorts and sandles.

Is your church accessible?

Both of our sites are accessible for people of all abilities. Accessible parking is available close to the building. At our Bury St Edmunds site, you'll find an accessible toilet in the lobby and a hearing loop in the main auditorium.

Can I watch services online if I can’t attend in person?

Absolutely! If you're unable to join us in person, we live-stream our 11:15am celebration from our Bury St Edmunds site. You can watch it live or catch up later on our YouTube channel. Simply search for West Suffolk Vineyard and subscribe so you can easily find us again. It’s a great way to keep up with the preaching series too.
